Camp Overview

One of the biggest adjustments that a student athlete has when it comes to making the move from recreation lacrosse to the high school level, is the level of commitment and the anxiety of the new and more complex concepts and systems.  By allowing the exposure to the high school coaches and former high school and collegiate players, it allows these players, ages 6 - 14 the opportunity to be introduced to some of the same terminology, systems and drills that are being used at Fallston High School, but specifically catered to each age group.

The camp will consist of five two-hour camp sessions that will emulate the first five days of Fallston High School practice.  Camp will start with individual concepts and drills, followed by team concepts, and ending with the incorporation of game-like situations and scenarios.

Each session will consist of four quarters.  The ‘first quarter’ will consist of the basic stick and individual drills along with the introduction of a game concept.  The ‘second quarter’ will focus on the individual with the focus of the ‘third quarter’ on that concept within the framework of the team.  The ‘fourth quarter’ will culminate with a play-drill or scrimmage/game situation.
